The Good Shepherd School curriculum is designed to nurture each child's growth through intentional learning opportunities across all domains. Students of the Good Shepherd School are given the opportunity to work collaboratively and explore friendships. We nurture our students' individual interests with an environment that is both structural and multisensory. The curriculum also supports the social and emotional development of our students by fostering self-confidence and social maturity.

Opening the World of Learning (OWL) is a curriculum that was specifically designed for Pre-K, therefore all of the materials are developmentally appropriate for your child. The lessons focus on language and literacy, while incorporating other subjects such as math, science, and social studies. OWL is exciting for teachers, students and parents, as it provides useful resources for all.

TERC (Technical Education Resource Collaborative) is a math program that teaches children the background of mathematical theories, instead of simply memorizing facts. It also allows teachers to weave in lessons with other academic areas, to ensure higher-level thinking skills. TERC is used by Boston Public Schools, if you choose to send your child to BPS after GSS, they will already be familiar with the program.

Handwriting Without Tears
